I grew up in Tampa, Florida where I developed interests in shortwave radio, computers, and the space program. I graduated from high school in North Richland Hills, Texas and started my college career at Georgia Tech.
My early interest in radio lead me to studying RF design, antennas, and audio engineering. I participated in Georgia Tech's cooperative education program and worked for AT&T in the Atlanta-area and later AT&T Bell Laboratories in Middletown, New Jersey. I built on my love of computers learning C, Unix, shell programming, and system administration.
After graduating with a Bachelor's in electrical engineering, I moved to Florida's space coast where I worked on various government programs which included modernizing the nation's air traffic control system, the International Space Station, and a MILSAT application.
I moved to Austin, Texas where I continue to live. I have lived in and spent considerable time in many parts of the country and consider Austin to be the best place in the country to live and raise a family.
I have a solid foundation in ICT development, manufacturing, and programming skills. I have been in the electronics industry for over 17 years and have spent nearly 11 of those years working with a variety of customers in contract manufacturing.
